steamboat
Thursday, January 29, 2009
Today was a very special day, cause J7, pastor, Adrian, Eunice and husband was invited to a steamboat dinner at Lingual's place. I was so looking forward to it since yesterday.

Well, anyway it was really an enjoyable time we had. We took lots of photos, eat lots of stuff, drank lychee freeze and wine, talked a lot... I wanted to surprise them and bless all of them that came. So I decided to buy something that would be good for all of us. Guess what, bird's nest came to my mind so I decided to buy bird's nest for everyone who came. Haha... Come to think about it, it was really quite amazing. Years ago I gave an offering and I told God I wanted to bless people without feeling an ache (the feeling of losing money that makes you feel uneasy, I guess you know what I mean). And here I am giving away bird's nest and not feeling an ache. Haha... Simply amazing. Really thank God for His provision!

2nd day of cny
Tuesday, January 27, 2009
Well, yesterday night I went to my Gary's house for my secondary school gathering. As usual only the 5 of us are there. Gary, Xiu Ling, Kai Boon, Jeffrey and me. But thank God everything went smoothly as I was the organiser. We had a lot of fun talking about our secondary school life and also about our current situation. Gary is really very hospitable. He fed us with grapes, lots of snacks, seaweed chicken, pizza and many more. Anyway Gary will be leaving on Saturday. Hopefully he comes back soon. And may his family business prosper!

And another thing. I was really thinking alot this CNY as there wasn't much visitation to do. After my grandfather passed away, the family split apart. There were many clicks formed and the family politics worsened. I guess this happens all the time. I did not manage to visit any of my relatives from my father side. Well if you ask me how I feel, I'll tell you it's a mix feeling. Hmm... Come to think about it human is really like that. Maybe they will come to realise what they have been doing as time goes by.

new year eve
Sunday, January 25, 2009
Well how did you celebrate your new year eve?

As for me I went to my mother's boyfriend's grandmother's place for dinner. Haha... Before that I managed to went to the gym to shed off some weight first. Anyway dinner started very very late. Say about 9 plus 10pm. And we ended around 11.30pm. So I went home and rushed down to Orchard Partyworld for karaoke. I was actually quite shock to see so many people and as I was very late, I did not need to pay anything. Haha... And the 2 karaoke king for the night was Gary and Adrian! Haha... They were really super entertaining.

After karaoke, we went to watch Jia You Xi Shi. It was a nice show. Liked the main actress acting. It was superb.

over night prayer meeting
Saturday, January 24, 2009
Well, what can I say? Going for an overnight prayer meeting is definately not convenient and easy. But I believe that God always look into our heart. I was really at a crossroad, remember my previous post where I was saying it will be tough juggling SOT, studies and work at the same time. Actually I left out ministry as well. In April, there will be easter big day as well. I am still wondering if I will be able to take up such a sudden change where 4 things will be happening at the same time. Ask me if I'm stress about it, I'll say yes. Ask me if I wanna give up, I'll say definately NOT! When I was at the overnight prayer meeting, I really cry out to God for directions. I felt God putting lots of faith in my heart. When I prayed, I felt a peace in me, an assurance, a feeling undescribable. It's like if God is for me, who can be against me. There was a renewal in my mind. There was a point Eunice prophecied that there will be an awakening of the past dreams that seems to be dead or have not come to pass. I really saw my past visions coming back to me and there were also new visions added to me. It was really mind blowing. I remember coming to a point where I told myself God is really amazing. Many times we think that maybe God has forgotten. But He is actually waiting for the perfect timing. I told myself in the prayer meeting to believe, believe and believe. No matter what people may say, think or act, I will choose to believe in Him in everything.

Do you still remeber this words, let it be done according to your faith. I really believe that this is a time to beieve and have faith for the things that God has spoken to me. When I pray, I have to pray in faith and continue believeing.

hairdo
Thursday, January 22, 2009
Tomorrow is the day I'm going to have my new hairdo. Anyway I'm still at a loss about what I wanna do. But something's set is that I'll be doing rebonding. Do you think I should put on some colours or should I not? But maybe I should not think so much about it. I shall ask the stylist for advise tomorrow instead. It should be better this way.

Anyway I'm looking forward for overnight prayer meeting this friday. If you are going, get prepared!

I have come to a conclusion that I will go for the bridging course as well. No point wasting another year waiting. Just have to be more disciplined and tiring for 3 months and it will be all over. Yes, I can do it!

Recently, I can start to feel the gearing up for SOT in my heart and mind. It is going to be GREAT!

in a dilema
Friday, January 16, 2009
Well, i guess all you readers know that I intend to go to SIM this year. And I just went for the info session earlier on at SIM. My course allows me to get 2 subjects exempted. I am able to go for 2 further subjects exempted if I pass the bridging exam. This means that from Apr - May there will be lessons at night on weekdays and even on weekends. And I will have to sit for an examination in Jun. Haiz... At that time I will still be in SOT. I wonder if I can really cope. I will not be able to serve for a few weeks or even for months if my classes is on all Sat. How ah? Really giving me a headache.

Anyway the bridging course registration ends on 28 Feb 08 and the course registration ends by Mar 08. Guess I have to come up with an answer by than.

my mum
Tuesday, January 13, 2009
I went Malaysia this (ops, it's past 12am, haha...), yesterday afternoon i mean with my b-e-a-utiful mum. Reminds me of a song. Haha... Anyway we went all the way to Kranji and board 170 bus to realise that my mum forgot to bring her passport. Haiz... And the next logical thing to do is to go home, take her passport and leave for Malaysia again. And that was what we did. She went to do her hair while I went for facial. Can you imagine throughout the journey to Malaysia, all her conversation revolves around facial and she ask me to go and try it. What a happening mum I have. Woah... I simply love her, stilll so happening. Haha...

What I wanted to say was that I really enjoyed her company throuhout. Although she may be a little naggy at times (like all mother's do), but I know she loves me. This is not a fully wasted trip. All my expenses in Malaysia was paid for and she gave me S$755 to buy clothes, buy bathing soap, facial products, and whatever I want this Chinese New Year. And this is not my big Hong Bao, I confess that in Jesus name. Haha...

My mum really holds a very special place in my heart. Although many times I have terrible dreams that she will somehow die in a car accident or I will be at her wake. Really scares me to the maximim. To those reading my blog please help me bind the devil ya. And I really pray that she will live a LONG Happy and Healthy life. I Love You MA MA! *muack*

Farewell & Welcome
Monday, January 12, 2009
Today is a special day as it marks the Farewell of our dear service i/c Xinwei and also the welcoming of Paul and Jevons joining in our service.

It has been a great time serving God with XW. He has always been encouraging and a thinker out of the box. He dares to use creative ideas in engaging the children. A special occassion was that he wanted us to sing a camp rock song during the service as a performance item. And it really happened and the children loved it. This incident really impacted me and set me thinking that it is really not difficult to engage the next generation. All it takes is a creative idea and faith. XW is also a very prayerful person. I love the morning prayer meeting before the mini service every sunday. It is really a time of refreshing and making our requests made known to God. He always encourages and stir up faith in the people around him. I will really miss serving God with him.

I am also looking forward to a whole new way of serving God together with Paul and Jevons. One thing I know is that our games time will not be the same again. Haha...

Down
Saturday, January 10, 2009
Oh no.... I caught a flu virus from my family members who caught it at their work place. This is really bad as I take a long time to recover from a flu. Not only that, I will also get unquenchable flame in my throat which cause me to have bad cough which would result in a bad sore throat. My sinus will also work up and I will get blocked nose. This will affect me when I serve as I have to sing most of the time.

But here's a praise report:
I went to Church today for CCH service with a bad sore throat and flu thinking that it would not be as bad as I am not leading. However, after the morning prayer meeting, it came to my notice that Lingual is down with back pain and Veroy is down with a bad sickness. As such, I had to take over ah Ling's praise for service 1. I agreed it immediately after knowing I was suppose to lead GBD God. Believe me, I was quite doubtful with myself at first. But I did whatever I could. I warm up my voice, run through the sequence of the song and what to say in my head. The Bible words "let it be to me, according to your faith". When it was praise time, I felt that God was behind me all the way. I gave my best and trusted God for the rest. And I really thank God that when I led, I was able to see the children praising God with their hearts.

Indeed all you need is faith like a mustard seed and you will be able to overcome all your obstacle. Remember your pebble!

Happy Birthday June

resoultions...
Have you been thinking of your new year resolutions?

If you have not started, I think it's time to do something.

Well for me I am will be going to SOT this year. It would be on my top priority for now. Keeping slim and fit would be my second priority as it is for my own good. Should start cultivating good habits from young. The third thing would be to go for a mission trip. Mission trip is really an eye opener and it would be great to serve people in other counties as well.

Hmm, seems like I have come up with some things. But I'll still need to fill up my goal setting card. And make sure you jot down your goals for this year.

a surprise fired back
Friday, January 2, 2009
Bob planned for a birthday surprise today but the birthday girl had another appointment. Oh my oh my oh my... Anyway this was what happened today.

We were all suppose to meet 10am at Harbour Front MRT station as we will be heading down to Sentosa. But all of us woke up late. We ended up reaching sentosa after 12pm. And only Bob, Veroy, Gabriel and me appeared. So it was a man's meeting in a way, haha.... We had a lot of fun playing volley ball, frisbie, sand ball (hmm... hard to explain), and some sun tanning. Let me tell you sun tanning is not fun at all. I can really feel my skin burning and it is so hot. But for the sake of getting tan, I will do it. Anyway it was also in Sentosa where we received the news that the birthday girl would not be joining us.

Without the birthday girl, we ended up shopping for her present and eating together at Vivo City with Audrey and Mad. It has really been a long time since I shopped. It was really a good relaxing time. If you have the time, you should go shopping too. There are still some SALE going on.
